Headquarters of
ECOBANK Guinea

The Bank in the Forest is the new forward-thinking typology for the new headquarters of ECOBANK Guinea. Lush forests are at the core of the design, where an uninterrupted view of greenery can be viewed from all sides.

Looking at the rectangularly-shaped site, the north-south axis is at a 45-degree angle. Therefore, the building footprint parallels the site boundary to form a rectangular form, making use of the site efficiently, while the façade and windows area angled north-south to take advantage of the natural sunlight, thus creating the unique form of the bank.

Lush plants are planted all around, and they continue up the façade through the open garden and planter boxes. The roof of the annexes building is designed as a green roof garden, giving the green area back to the site and community.
